Twinning with Twinings

Twinings Tea Shop stands out in the sea of tall dark buildings that blend into London fog
Like me, it is
small and bright,
short and unique,
full of hidden wonderful secrets.
The tea bar in the back of the shop offers samples that warm me from my head to my toes.
Jane Austen used to write here, I'm told.  
I scribble furiously in my notebook.

Later, in a dark room lit by neon lights, I sit at a very different kind of bar.
It smells like a disaster waiting to happen
It makes me jumpy
It reminds me of what I've run halfway across the globe from

I try a sip of something called strawberry sensation, just to fit in
Alcohol rushes to my head,
burns down my throat.  
I don't like it.  
I don't hate it. 

I'd much rather be drinking tea.
